ositive and peaceful experience while benefiting from strengthening techni
ques\, stretches\, and ballet basics. There were different ages and levels
of strength\, and everyone worked to their limit and felt comfortable. Ev
ery strengthening technique is easy to learn. After three weeks of the cla
ss\, most people said they already felt stronger in their legs and ankles
I really enjoyed organizing these classes and being a part of this opport
unity. I cant wait to do it again and see new people join.” – Grace Hanfor
d \n\nTestimonial\n“The restorative ballet class was helpful in so many wa
ys. Not only is my neuropathy pain lessening\, I also feel my body is str
onger and more lengthened. There is a mindfulness component to these clas
ses that is very helpful\, a sense of just being. I look forward to parti
cipating in the second six!” ~Anonymous \n\nClass Overview\nThere are many
breast cancer survivors who struggle with the chronic pain of neuropathy.
One way to lessen this discomfort is through ballet. Ballet is not only a
beautiful form of expression\, it is also a therapeutic\, restorative for
m of movement that can assist the body in beginning to heal itself. Balle
t stretches and poses move the muscles and bones in the foot in a way that
alternative approaches simply do not. Second\, unlike medications and ac
upuncture that are ineffective as soon as you stop\, ballet allows you to
continue healing on your own. \nDuring our hour together\, you will learn
simple exercises at the bar or in the center of the studio that will focu
s on stretching your legs and feet to begin to lessen your pain. Also\, y
ou may learn how to strengthen your sense of control over an often frustra
ting situation. You will learn stretches that you can easily do at home\,
in just a few minutes a day\, to continue the healing process. All of our
work together is simple and gentle\, promoting a supportive\, encouraging
 and positive atmosphere.\n\n
